18th Annual Central Florida Family History Conference
You’re invited to the 18th Annual Central Florida Family History Conference on Saturday, November 8th, 2014 from 9am – 3:45pm. This is one of the largest family history conferences on America’s East Coast! This regional event brings world-class speakers from all over the country to help you find your family’s history!
For this year’s conference, we have BIG NEWS! We have MOVED! We have out-grown our previous location! This year we will be at OLYMPIA HIGH SCHOOL, just down the hill at 4301 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando, FL 32835.
Moving to this much larger venue has necessitated additional costs. Therefore, a small admission fee of $5.00 per person (under 18 is free) if paid in advance and $10.00 at the door. Lunch and the conference notebook and CD remain the same price as last year! (Details below).
We promise to bring you the latest news on where to find information on your ancestors as well as big, new changes to Internet research sites. As usual, we have a line-up of additional new world-class speakers and some amazing new topics! Click on the conference schedule for the classes!
Eight classes run simultaneously all day. View the Schedule to see all classes and times.
To register for the conference, please go to the registration page.
The conference does not have facilities for childcare, so we hope you’ll make your own arrangements for babysitting.
When you arrive at the conference, you’ll follow signs for the auditorium. Just to the right of that entrance, you’ll see a row of tables. Above each table will be labeled letters like (A-E). Just get in the line that matches the first letter of your last name. If you have pre-registered, they’ll have your packet ready just for you with your class schedule, lunch ticket, and more!
If you want lunch, the charge will be $10.00, which can be paid in advance or at the Registration Desk when you arrive. You must pre-register to insure your order will be ready! Lunch will be catered by Panera Bread.
When you register, you can have your choice of a freshly-baked turkey or ham sandwich, served with a crisp quarter slice of pickle, potato chips, and a delicious chocolate chip cookie! The cut-off to order lunch will be Saturday, November 1. Latecomers will have to take what is still available!
Notebook and CD
Just like last year, you can also purchase a CD containing all the handouts for the last four years for $10.00 or a bound conference notebook containing all the handouts for this year’s conference for $10. We recommend that you purchase both the CD and the conference notebook! There will be a limited supply of notebooks (only 350), so please pre-register and order your notebook before Saturday November 1.
We strongly suggest that you register and pre-pay before the conference so you will be assured of getting into the classes you want. Classrooms at the high school only hold 25-28 people so first come, first served!
Please send a money order or personal check made out to “Week of the Family Foundation.” Mail to:
Week of the Family Foundation
237 Arnold Avenue, Longwood, FL 32750
Please fill in the attached form and send with your check. Or, on the “Re” part of the check, please write what you are purchasing: (for example) “Admission, lunch, notebook & CD.” Checks must be received by Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014.
At the door, we will accept cash and checks, but no credit cards.
