To register for the 13th Annual Central Florida Family History Conference, please go to the registration page.
Again this year, when you register, you will be able to choose exactly what classes you want to attend! A list of those classes can be found on the schedule page.
The conference does not have facilities for childcare, so we hope you’ll make your own arrangements for babysitting. We know that young adults (teenagers) and up will certainly benefit from the conference!
The conference is located at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3001 SOUTH Apopka-Vineland Rd., Orlando, Florida. It’s just 1/4 mile north of the intersection of Conroy-Windermere Rd and Apopka-Vineland Rd. It’s also directly across the street from The Orlando Florida Temple, a large white temple on the west side of the road. Look for the directional signs!
Click here to see a map of the conference location.
When you arrive at the conference, you’ll be able go to a special table called “Pre-Registration” and they’ll have your packet ready just for you! Remember that there is no payment in advance. The conference is free. If you want lunch, the charge will be $5.00, which can be paid at the “Pre-registration Desk” when you arrive. This year you can also purchase a CD containing all the handouts for $5. The conference starts promptly at 9am, so we hope you’ll come early!
We have many expert speakers this year including four world-class authorities!
Four 50-minute classes run simultaneously each hour. Here are a few of the classes offered:
- The Deceptive Ancestor? – Separating Family Fiction from Fact
- The FamilySearch website
- Beginner’s Guide to Building a Family Website
- Catholic Church Records
- About DNA and Family History
- Researching in Latin America, South America, and Spain (in Spanish and English!)
